Seasons Change is the third of four singles to be released ahead of Noelle’s debut album (released via Wax Records/Universal Music Canada) next year. The latest single gives us a glimpse at the influences that shaped the Canadian artist’s sound, igniting the smoky ambience and enchanting lust of smooth jazz in a fresh yet, nostalgic spirit. Despite just being shy of her early twenties, Noelle shows no reluctance when it comes to tackling mature themes in her music;
“This song really shows off my passion for old jazz, one of my favourite styles of music. It’s about falling in love with someone who isn’t ready yet, even when you are.”
Delicately bound with a gliding string section and hints of R’n’B, Seasons Change honours its comfortably melancholic theme of falling in love. The vocals take on a sultry, almost promiscuous kind of style, dreamily expressing the vulnerable intimacy of falling for another. Though expressing an awareness towards the other’s emotional stance, the single still holds a strong element of comfort, perfectly emulating the thrill of falling in love, despite it not going the exact way you’d like it to.
“Seasons change, flowers fade, I will be right here waiting for you.
Take your time, don’t worry your mind. Snow melts away, but I’m here to stay.”

Seasons Change is a beautiful portrayal of emotions felt throughout the early stages of falling in love. Though the single reflects on older stylistic choices, Noelle’s notoriously relatable edge creates a level of relevance we can all empathise with.
